Caitlynn & Andrew Tied the Knot in Front of Mount Katahdin

With Maine's breathtaking Mount Katahdin in the distance, Andrew and Caitlynn climbed onto the seaplane, thanks to the Katahdin Air Seaplane service. Their family and friends lined the shore of Millinocket Lake and waved as the plane rumbled to life and the couple soared into the sky toward Katahdin. It was simply the best exit to surprise their guests with and to celebrate tying the knot in one of the most beautiful locations in Maine.

The New England Outdoor Center is a stunning venue. As you walk toward the lake, you are met with the incredible view of Maine's famous Mount Katahdin, which boasts the end of the Appalachian Trail and has trails to challenge even the most seasoned hikers. The venue has access to Millinocket Lake, which was glittering in the bright sun and every time I turned my head, I was in awe of the mountain overlooking the lake.

The first thing I did when I arrived, was fly my drone up for some epic landscape setting shots. As an outdoor enthusiast, I was blown away by how beautiful the lake and mountain looked as one. As a videographer, this is a dream and this was defiantly a dreamy wedding.

The ceremony spot stood on the edge of the lake. Andrew and Caitlynn wed before a birch arbor, decorated with such lovely florals by Stephanie Leclerc.

When I first arrived at the venue, I met Caitlynn and Andrew separately. Caitlynn was getting ready in one of the cabins at the venue with her mom and bridesmaids. They were such a fun and laid-back group of women and it was such a fabulous experience filming them getting ready. Before I went to meet Andrew, the photographer and I took the dress out for some lovely shots. The mountain and the lake as a backdrop was such an inspiring shot for a videographer. I was so excited! I can't describe how beautiful her dress was, flowing in the breeze with the blue hues of the landscape behind it. When I went to greet Andrew and the guys, we grabbed some truly excellent shots in the upstairs of their cabin, which boasted a ceiling-length window with the greatest light. Andrew stood before the window, getting ready.

The couple's ceremony was flawless and the moment Caitlynn walked down the aisle with her father by her side, Andrew's face lit up with the most wonderful smile. These two were so in love--I could see it in their eyes every moment that they looked at each other.

After these two officially tied the knot, it was party time! The reception was outside and was decorated gorgeously. Their first dance was magical, a special moment captured in time. With an epic bouquet toss, awesome dancing, and great food, these two had the most special day with their loved ones.

The photographer and I were able to sneak the newlyweds away for some sunset shots--and these were not just ANY sunset shots. These were intimate, beautiful, stunning, epic, and absolutely glorious. With the buttery sun dipping beneath the horizon, Mount Katahdin glowed in the distance, casting its warmness across the lake and silhouetting Caitlynn and Andrew. It was an intimate moment, with the most gorgeous views. Check out this sneak peek of the sunset with this amazing couple.

It was an extraordinary day to celebrate Andrew and Caitlynn! Cheers!
